Catering in Tampa How much per person
How much catering to order per person
A quick guide to ordering the right amount of food for an office group, with rules that match how catering trays are portioned.
The simple rules
- Boxed meals: one per person. Many planners add one or two spares for late additions.
- Trays: each tray here is portioned for about 10. Divide your headcount by 10 and round up.
- Appetizer platters: a platter of 40 momos or 20 samosas works as a starter for about 10.
- Rice and bread: curry trays come with rice. Add naan at one piece per person if you want bread.
- Desserts: one dessert platter covers about 15 people.
Cover every diet
Ask your group about dietary needs before you order. Then make sure each need has at least one full dish, not just a side. On our menus every dish is tagged halal, vegetarian, vegan or spicy, and the planner on the Tampa page shows which kitchens cover each need.
Example: lunch for 25
Three curry trays (for example two butter chicken and one paneer butter masala) with rice feed 30, which covers 25 people with a small buffer. Add a samosa platter for a starter.
